Special Notes

• You may want to check Mt. Fuji's weather too - just to see if it'll be clear and visible. 
• Trailheads. 
• Mitsutoge-tozanguchi (三ツ峠登山口). The shortest way to the summit at less than 2 hours. 
• Train/bus. Tokyo to Kawaguchiko Station. JPY2,000 if via bus from Shinjuku, reservations here. 
• Bus, Kawaguchiko Station (河口湖駅) to Mitsutoge-tozanguchi (三ツ峠登山口).
• Only one bus at 9:50am->10:15am. Return bus at 10:20am->10:45am, JPY740 one way. 
• Mitsutoge Station (三ツ峠駅). Accessible via train. 
• Returning to Tokyo on a Sunday night usually sees significant traffic, so I'd recommend taking the train back to Tokyo.
• Mountain huts. 
• Paid. 
• 四季楽園. Right next to the summit, JPY5,500 a night, no meals.
